On April 9, members of Westmoreland DeMolay were invited to take part in the production of The Story of the Crucifixion that was put on by the Valley of Pittsburgh Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center. Alex F, Gary W, and Dylan B all took them up on their invite to be a part of the play, and some of the advisory council happily sold some of the remaining chocolate covered pretzels while the boys were fitted with costumes for the play. The performance went off without any major miscues, and was well liked by the audience.
Following the play, there was a dinner of ham, au gratin potatoes, maple glazed carrots, and choice of pie served. During the dinner, Alex, Gary, and “Dad” W were able to speak with some of the attendees about what DeMolay is and how it is making them more prepared for their futures.
A good time was had by all, and we were able to sell three cases of pretzels, though that number would have increased had we taken more with us. We would like to extend a warm thank you to the AASR for including us in this great event, and look forward to coming back next year!
