On April 22, the 30th Masonic District held a fundraiser chicken dinner at the Greensburg Masonic Center to benefit the Youth Academic Challenge. This was the first of two scheduled events (one in the north, one in the south) to raise money for this great program that rewards Masonic youth for good grades in school. Westmoreland Chapter was on hand to help with serving dinners and of course the all important pie auction. The pie auction was live-streamed over facebook, as was the main event, the auction of the opportunity to smash a Pie in the District Deputy Grand Master Timothy Shumar’s face! the opportunity proved popular and costly for the winner, as the winning bid of $825 was made by RWGS Mark Haines.
